Public bug reported:

The spl-linux Ubuntu package contains two redundant patches that are not
required and removing them will mean that the patch delta between Ubuntu
and Debian packaging will be effectively zero.

Remove:
    - 0001-Revert-Remove-etc-hostid-missing-warning.patch" not required
and it produces an alarming error message that is unnecessary

"Ubuntu doesn't currently provide a root-in-ZFS distro solution, so it
follows that the hostid stabilization patch is unnecessary."

    - 0002-Add-COPYING-to-EXTRA_DIST - redundant and not required
