*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1542731 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1542731
** Description changed: xfce4-settings 4.12.0-3ubuntu1 500 http://at.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu yakkety/universe amd64 Packages For me this is a minor bug, not causing any significant trouble. Steps I did: launched "Einstellungen->Anzeige" from the top left menu, chose 2nd display (named "Bildschirm") (1st display is named "Laptop",), unticked "Diesen Bildschirm verwenden". 1st physical display flickered, (NetBeans reported an unexpected exception aboud buffered images), crash of xfsettingsd was reported to me. + 2nd logical display seems to be disabled propery, tough. I even don't know what that second display is. There were 4 different resolutions to choose from, and none of the options matched the native resolution of notebook's display (1600x900). Notebook uses MXM (Intel i915 + nVidia nouveau) in default mode (I did not alter any settings). If I connect a monitor/TV through the HDMI port, a 3rd logical display appears which can be used to configure the external HDMI-connected display.
