This should have some priority! a) many servers will not except older clients. Hence it will not work. b) battle eye anti cheat client has been removed.
Not only should this be updated for gutsy, this stuff like in general should reach the backports as soon as possible. Because it actually _breaks_ the old package. For the future, it should be discussed wether packages that require updates to stay functional, should be supported in this way. Maybe they should rather be removed from the repository, or put into some volitile repository where the update-policy is just 'follow stable upstream'. This is esspecially true for games, but I can imagine other packages that require updates like timezone-changes, libpurple of pidgin (whenever some network decides to change their protocol), etc. -- warsow-0.31* is outdated https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/136715 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
