I can confirm this bug. However /forcefsck seems not to be supported because it isn't mentioned in the man page.
When I log in to one of the 16.04 systems, I get this info: *** /dev/sda5 will be checked for errors at next reboot *** But the command "dmesg|grep -i e2fsck" gives this output: [ 14.999711] EXT4-fs (sda5): warning: checktime reached, running e2fsck is recommended So the interpretation of the check interval seems to be a recommended value only during boot. ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1608880 Title: systemd doesnt work with timed fsck, only with counted mount fsck To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1608880/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
