Public bug reported: This problem started occurring in Gutsy Gibbon beta after an upgrade from Feisty Fawn. I am running the latest Gutsy packages - no updates are available from update-manager.
When I suspend my Dell Latitude D820 via Fn-ESC standby key, it appears to suspend normally. The screen goes black and the power LED blinks. When I resume from suspend, the battery indicator in my GNOME system tray panel has a popup that says "Sleep Problem", see the help file for possible problems. I have "ACPI_SLEEP=true" in /etc/default/acpi-support. Here are messages from relevant log files: >From /var/log/messages Oct 11 19:38:06 lager gnome-power-manager: (jtimberman) Suspending computer because the suspend button has been pressed Oct 11 19:38:08 lager dhcdbd: Unrequested down ?:3 Oct 11 19:38:08 lager kernel: [ 1032.248000] ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:09:00.0 disabled Oct 11 19:38:09 lager kernel: [ 1032.460000] ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:0c:00.0 disabled Oct 11 19:39:30 lager gnome-power-manager: (jtimberman) Resuming computer Oct 11 19:39:30 lager gnome-power-manager: (jtimberman) suspend failed Oct 11 19:39:30 lager kernel: [ 1034.388000] Stopping tasks ... done.
