Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-server

I've just built a new machine using an Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard,
which uses the nForce 570 SLI chipset. This includes dual gigabit NICs
(and I've added an old Intel NIC). I've installed both 32- and 64-bit
versions of feisty and gutsy on it for testing. All the network devices
work perfectly out of the box on feisty, but none of them (even the old
intel) work in gutsy. However, the onboard NIC did work during the gutsy
installation. Here's the result of 'sudo ifup eth0' after boot (eth1 has
the same result):

eth0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
There is already a pid file /var/run/dhclient.eth0.pid with pid 0

SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
eth0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
eth0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
Bind socket to interface: No such device
Ignoring unknown interface 2=2.
Failed to bring up eth0.

eth0 is the first onboard NIC (I've disabled the other for now), and eth1 is
the Intel NIC. More info is attached.
