Actually, problem has diminished: - Active fields can be found by hovering the mouse. - When creating new message, first "To:" field is selected by default. - If you forget to add "Subject:" line, you are reminded.
Personally i got used to new interface and always remember to change To:, Subject: etc. when i reply or forward message. So, this bug no longer affects me. Also, didn't heard any complains from new users.
