Public bug reported: Prior to 16.10, I always disabled module-suspend-on-idle in /etc/pulse/default.pa. With it enabled (the default), I often lose the beginning of audio being played because of the time it or my receiver takes to start up. I also sometimes gets cracks/pops.
Commenting out the line (to disable it) in 16.10 results in no audio at all. I tried restarting pulseaudio (killall pulseaudio) and restarting the system. Re-enabling the module and restarting pulseaudio immediately fixes it. ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1637862 Title: Disabling module-suspend-on-idle results in no sound To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1637862/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
