Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. I'm following up on old bugs today.

If "UsePAM yes" (the default) fixes this issue, then I'm not sure this
is a bug in Ubuntu. Is this what you intended with your last comment? Or
even you still consider this to be a bug in Ubuntu, please explain why
and change the bug status back to New. Thanks!
