Thank you for your bug report. That's more likely to be a kernel issue than a desktop one though, gnome-power-manager is only including a frontend to see battery stats nowadays. Is there any chance you could try with a xenial kernel to see if that works better?
Otherwise the desktop component handling screen settings is unity- settings-daemon but that codebase didn't change much in recent cycles... note that level changing when disc/connecting from/to a/c is an old issue though it could depends of the driver. Unassigning the desktop team since that doesn't seem like an high priority issue nor a desktop regression. ** Changed in: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Assignee: Canonical Desktop Team (canonical-desktop-team) => (unassigned) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1647020 Title: Brightness resets to full when on/off battery To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/1647020/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
