Here's the requested attachment. Most importantly, I can't press the 'Test' button anymore, so it doesn't hang. The system is currently fully up-to-date.
However, selecting 'LCD Panel 1280x800' only yields normal resolution monitors. Checking the 'widescreen' check solves this, but a 1280x800 is widescreen anyway, so why the check? More generally, selecting 'generic' monitors, either 16:9 or 3:4, and selecting the 'wrong' widescreen check yields unpredictable results: mixed widescreen and non-widescreen resolutions, or an empty resolution list, for example. ** Attachment added: "parse-edid" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9979291/parse-edid -- testing 1280x800 on Aspire hangs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147820 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
