Public bug reported: Like in the title: xserver/compiz hangs frequently after resuming from the screensaver
I can switch to terminal with ctrl+alt+f1 and reboot the system. So only xserver is frozen. E.g. Spotify desktop client still plays the music however UI is frozen.
