Not sure what you mean by the "dispositive" disappearing but I have managed to get the DVD drive on my Zepto working. I did 2 things, but I'm not sure if it was one or both of them together that fixed it. First, I updated the BIOS using the iso I downloaded from "ftp://ftp.zepto.dk/Znote6625WD/BIOS";. Secondly, I updated the DVD drive's firmware with a version I got found on "www.samsungodd.com" (I had to install windows to do this). After reinstalling Gutsy the DVD drive is recognized and seems to be working fine.
