Use the re-ordering of hosts line in nsswitch.conf posted by Mark Tearle in #1641328: files mdns4_minimal [NOTFOUND=return] resolve [!UNAVAIL=return] dns This is better than removing "resolve [!UNAVAIL=return]" because recent Ubuntu releases should continue to use systemd-resolved for name resolution. It's man page explains several benefits, see: https://www.freedesktop.org/software/systemd/man/systemd-resolved.service.html -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1650555 Title: nsswitch.conf configuration doesn't work with mdns hosts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1650555/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
