Not being able to manually control the start of media in presentation
mode is one of the major shortcomings of OpenOffice in my day-to-day
use of it.

I have to give scientific presentations that contain slides with movies
and text. I would like to be able to circumvent the need to write a
macro to launch an external player for each movie in my presentation
when I click on an object.

Please, please consider the ability for users to click on an object in
presentation mode to control the timing of a movie (And if something is
done, why not do it well and allow for looping and pausing of the movie
as well). From a programming perspective would it really be so hard to
do? Thanks for your consideration!
