Malcolm, Your first comment makes sense: I really don't know if order will be guaranteed without After= for when we're using BindsTo :\. I think it might be safer for us to use it since it will cause no harm having it (i'll have to include this upstream somehow so we don't break our future releases).
NOW, I DO agree with your statement on rpcbind. I thought it was weird creating dependency on the socket itself. I think the idea was to make services startup "faster", the developer "assumed" the socket being ready would make that happen. For rpcbind it doesn't make much sense since it will take care of all port orchestration for the rest of services and we have to have the service up and running, not only its socket. I'll make those changes and will update PPA. For now you can keep with this version - since it will, at least, remove the ".target" logic. I'll do it tonight. Tks Malcom, please be sure to reproduce it before checking if it works (so we can "verify" it later, when the SRU is done). o/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1590799 Title: nfs-kernel-server does not start because of dependency failure To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nfs-utils/+bug/1590799/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
