Public bug reported:

Description: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS
Release: 16.04

The option --with-cplusplus-extensions is omitted from dh_auto_configure in
debian/rules packaging file. This makes using libgenders with c++ applications
difficult.
Adding an appropriate subpackage and dependencies to enable the c++ wrapper
library would be very useful for C++ users.

I pulled the current source package genders_1.21-1build2_amd64.deb and
rebuilt with modified rules and *.install files to include
libgendersplusplus and gendersplusplus.h.

Potentially affected packages if requested library is added:
genders_1.21-*.deb
libgenders0-dev_1.21-*.deb
libgenders0_1.21-*.deb
and similar in later releases of ubuntu.

** Affects: genders (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
