Did you check the upstream bug? This is easy to solve... As a reminder: Amarok is not responsible for the Phonon backends, nor are we in any way responsible for gstreamer plugins. You have a mismatch of plugins installed, please make sure you have only one gstreamer library version and the appropriate plugins for restricted codecs (which is the case for MP3), the mix is what causes the problem.
