Ubuntu already ships 3 different nvidia drivers: nvidia-glx-legacy (7xxx series), nvidia-glx (9xxx series), and nvidia-glx-new (100.xxx series). If you don't want to use the 100 series drivers, it should be as simple as "sudo aptitude install nvidia-glx", providing that the 9xxx series drivers actually support your card.
If what you are asking for is a way of selecting this driver from the restricted drivers manager, then it might be a good idea to re-target this bug at that package. -- [Gutsy] Allow to choose a different version of nVidia driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/145718 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
