Same problem with a Radeon IGP 330M/340M/350M. If you disable dri by using libgl1-mesa-swx11 package, it works but much slower. The only version of blender i can run on the new ubuntu 7.10 is the mesa static version available on blender.org (2.44, 2.45 doesn't work)
