Public bug reported:

After installing virtualbox-ose and virtualbox-ose-
modules-2.6.22-14-generic, adding myself to the "vboxusers" group and
attempting to run Damn Small Linux in it, Virtualbox didn't work right,
giving me the error:

VirtualBox kernel driver not installed. The vboxdrv kernel module was either
not loaded or /dev/vboxdrv was not created for some reason. Please install the
virtualbox-ose-modules package for your kernel and execute '/etc/init.d/vboxdrv
start' as root.
VBox status code: -1908 (VERR_VM_DRIVER_NOT_INSTALLED).

Result Code:

Component:

Interface:

Indeed, /dev/vboxdrv did not exist. A reboot later and it did and thus
worked. I don't recall the PUEL edition doing this; shouldn't the OSE
version just work right away, without the need to reboot or manually run
a command? (can't it do it automatically as part of the install?)
