Public bug reported: Running Ubuntu as a guest in virt-manager is not comfortable, because the spice-vdagent is not installed by default on Ubuntu. Among the side effects: the mouse remains captured within the guest until you hit Control-Alt; there is no copy-paste support; resizing the window does not change the guest resolution; etc.
One solution would be to enable spice-vdagent by default. If that is not acceptable, one hint that spice-vdagent may be useful is when the installer runs on QXL video. It is likely to indicate that the installation is in a virtual machine, and that installing spice-vdagent would be useful. ** Affects: spice-vdagent (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1665306 Title: Install spice-vdagent if installing witih QXL video driver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/spice-vdagent/+bug/1665306/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
