Already tested with the latest upstream kernel but still the bug exists. Right now i am using internet via sharing through LAN from my desktop. Its very serious bug it needs to be fixed. whenever i installed newer ubuntu version with support of kernel 4x my wifi card doesn't work. And also i have noticed that when my wifi is disable the airplane mode is also enabled by default and i am unable to disable it...So, i need to revert back to windows and i have done it more than 5-6 times.
Ubuntu 15.04 was the only ubuntu version where it worked for a last time. ubuntu 15.04 offers kernel 3.19 and linux mint 17.3 offers the same. But from ubuntu 15.10 it stopped working. Hope you would find the solution. I have attached also the screenshot. ** Attachment added: "wifi issue.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1666561/+attachment/4824564/+files/wifi%20issue.png ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1666561 Title: Ralink RT3290 Wifi Hard Blocked in Ubuntu 16.04.2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1666561/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
