I also encounter random failures resuming from suspend on 14.04

week ago). No blinking caps lock, though.I just cycled through suspend-resume several times and it worked well, so it's intermittent. I tried to switch to the first virtual terminal (<Ctrl>-<Alt>-F1) and restart (<Ctrl>-<Alt>-<Del>) assuming it was just the screen, but nothing happened, suggesting that it's not screen- related. Haven't checked dmesg yet, though, but I will next time it happens.
