As the config file previously in the us-lightdm-theme source package is moved to us-default-settings, and us-default-settings is seeded for Ubuntu Studio, Ubuntu Studio users will not notice anything after us- lightdm-theme is removed during the apt-get dist-upgrade.
However, if us-lightdm-theme was manually installed by a user, or another package depended on it (which is not the case here - as it is only the us-meta packages that depend on it), then we would need a dummy us-lightdm-theme package (included in the us-default-settings source package) to force the user over to the new us-default-settings source package. It is very unlikely that anyone would manually install the ubuntustudio- lightdm-theme package on it's own. And in this case, they could just keep using the us-lightdm-theme package as long as they liked (as apt- get dist-upgrade will not ask for it's removal). Therefore, I think the transitional package is a little over the top. But expect a new diff including a dummy package uploaded here later today. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1630347 Title: the lightdm-theme package is practically empty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntustudio-default-settings/+bug/1630347/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
