Well, those are the only files in the /var/log directories. I can only provide what Ubuntu does. :)
Regarding the dkpg.log files: dkpg.log.1 appears to be an old file for sure. dkpkg.log has two sections of time: line 1: 16:53:39 line 312: 17:47:48 If I remember correctly, 16:53 would be about the time I was installing all of the security patches for Feisty. 17:47 would be the time that the Gusty upgrade started running after doing the initial downloading. These are the only files that the install produced. Like I said earlier, I was doing an unattended upgrade, so I'm not sure how the last part of the upgrade went. When I cam back, the desktop was just sitting there with no windows (so I know the x-server didn't crash because it wasn't at the login screen). -- Update from Feisty to Gusty fails in multiple packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152813 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
