Public bug reported:

I installed HWE package trying to solve issues with the suspend
function. However, after the installation, I see that the suspend works
randomly. Specifically, it works well when the load of the system is low
(just after being powered up with no applications started).

When trying to suspend, the fan and power led keep turned on, but the
screen becomes black and keyboard becomes unresponsive. It is not
possible to access to a tty. Thus a power-off reset is required.

This issue was happening also with 4.4.X kernels, but with 3.13.0-101
kernel does not happen.

Thanks in advance for the attention.
