Hi,

I am experiencing similar issues with /etc/resolv.conf

When connected normally to wireless, I have the correct search domain
and nameserver parameters in /etc/resolv.conf.

However, when the system connects to my OpenVPN server, there is nothing
present in /etc/resolv.conf bar the regular "# generated by
NetworkManager, do not edit!" comment. After this point, I am unable to
complete any DNS requests.

Disconnecting from the VPN, but staying connected to wireless results in
/etc/resolv.conf being repopulated with the correct data.

My OpenVPN server specifically does not push out any DNS data, as all
relevant hosts are in /etc/hosts. If it did, I would expect
NetworkManager to put in additional DNS entries instead of removing them
altogether. Maybe different DNS priorities should be available for
individual circumstances.

Regards

Kyle
