I've tried again today to see if something had changed. I had to power off the
computer. I restarted in safe mode and did an "apt-get update && apt-get
dist-upgrade" and everything seems to be working fine together.
I think this is a very important issue, as it seems to be affecting quite a lot
of people using Kubuntu Gutsy, and 'kdesu "adept_manager --version-upgrade"' is
supposed to be the recommended way to upgrade from Feisty to Gutsy.
My opinion as a user is that this bug should be fixed before Gutsy release or,
if it's not possible, a workaround for upgrading should be recommended.
