I am having the same problem on Ubuntu 16.04. I am NOT using VM. On syslog:
avahi-daemon[1264]: Withdrawing address record for 192.168.0.101 on enp2s0. avahi-daemon[1264]: Leaving mDNS multicast group on interface enp2s0.IPv4 with address 192.168.0.101. avahi-daemon[1264]: Interface enp2s0.IPv4 no longer relevant for mDNS. Also running ifconfig shows that enp2s0 has no ipv4 address. Trying sudo ifdown enp2s0 gives: Unknown interface enp2s0 So far I have been able to fix this in xfce by going to Settings -> Network Connections, selecting wired connection and deleting it. This did renew the connection instantly. I also managed to renew it in UNITY by right clicking network icon on taskbar(?) and disabling network and then enabling it again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1586528 Title: Avahi-daemon withdraws address record To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/avahi/+bug/1586528/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
