The most visible difference I saw between mate-screensaver and ukui- screensaver is the Unlock screen. It might be possible for this to be converted into a patch that might even be accepted into MATE.
For instance, this is how Unity tweaks gnome-screensaver: https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-desktop/gnome-screensaver/ubuntu/view/head:/debian/patches/18_unity_dialog_layout.patch UKUI would need to added to mate-screensaver's OnlyShowIn=MATE; or drop that line entirely. mate-session-manager would need to have its gsettings schema split out (maybe to mate-session-manager-common) so that UKUI could use it without needing to have MATE as a login option. Kylin could ship their custom Floating UKUI screensaver in a separate package. Are there any other important changes I missed? Anyway, there might not be time in the zesty cycle to do all that so I'm uploading ukui-screensaver to the zesty queue now. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => In Progress -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1664247 Title: [FFe] ukui-screensaver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntukylin/+bug/1664247/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
