Public bug reported: Mainline kernels are provided at http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa
This is very convenient, especially if one has the latest hardware for which older kernels often do not have hardware support. However https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa does not work. I do not have a great feeling installing something as crucial as a kernel without trusting the source. Of course one could in theory try to reproduce the build by compiling from source, but in practice this is hardly a viable solutions.
