Public bug reported: ed25519 is a safe curve. And supposedly, it was unsupported in ubuntu xenial... because the authors of gnupg disabled it in version 2.1.1.1 for encryption purposes.
could you perhaps update it to the 2.1.15 version? Because the other curves are not secure my comparison...
