Hi all, I have the same problem. I don't use QtCreator as such, but I often use Qt apps such as QGIS. I'm not sure there's a 1-to-1 correlation between me using QGIS and Thunar freezing in the background, I haven't done enough testing, but it's definitely possible there's something in Qt triggering this. My Thunar version is 1.6.11, running on Xubuntu 16.04.
