@Melon Logic Just to be clear, I am running: ubuntu 14.04 LTS, 64bit Geforce GTX 980M/PCIe using NVidia binary driver - version 375.39 (proprietary, tested)
The unity tweak method works on my system anyway. I don't know if I am using Intel Microcode or not because I am not sure how I can check this.
