Ran into this today. Wanted to see if there was new software, attempted to use "Ubuntu Software" gui app. Clicked install button, a progress bar ran across the bottom. Attempted to uninstall/re-install snapd with dpkg (suggested fix for this issue)
sudo dpkg --remove --force-remove-reinstreq snapd sudo apt-get install snapd attached term.log that was requested in the ticket. Software Update now says there is nothing new to install. ** Attachment added: "term.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/1581605/+attachment/4860784/+files/term.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1581605 Title: package snapd 2.0.2 failed to install/upgrade: package is in a very bad inconsistent state; you should reinstall it before attempting configuration To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/1581605/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
