Public bug reported:

When trying to install some packages (restricted kernel modules for
example) synaptic crashes with the following error:

GTK Accessibility Module initialized

Pango-ERROR **: file /build/buildd/pango1.0-1.17.0/pango/pango-layout.c: line
3444 (process_line): assertion failed: (result == BREAK_SOME_FIT || result ==
BREAK_EMPTY_FIT)
aborting...
Aborted (core dumped)

Also the restricted module manager and update manager won't work
correctly. This problem started after the upgrade to gutsy.

** Affects: synaptic (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
