Before rebooting, saw in adept that many packages were broken. I tried to reload and update through adept, but, after a while, adept crashed. I finished the job with the following: sudo rm /var/lib/dpkg/lock sudo rm /var/cache/apt/archives/lock sudo apt-get install sudo dpkg --configure -a sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade
(I'm not sure on the exact sequence I used on the above for all this post).
