Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: smartmontools
While upgrading from 7.04 to 7.10, I got this error.
package smartmontools 5.37-5ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade:
It did not give me much else to work with, but at the same time I am one
step above a Linux novice. Converted from Sys-Admin on the Darkside
when 7.04 beta came out. I did do some tinkering before this upgrade
to see if I could get smartmontools working, but I ran out of
time/patience. Therefore, I might have goofed something into not being
un-configured yet not being configured properly. I have another system
to upgrade (one success or failure at a time), that system probably did
not get tinkered with, so we might be able to tell if it was an anomaly
or not.
Thank you ;-)
Tom
