Public bug reported:

This is the final release of Gutsy.

System> Preferences> Sessions is broken! When I go to the Startup
Programs tab and click the Add button and add an application, it appears
to work fine, until I close the window. When I go to System>
Preferences> Sessions and Startup Programs tab again, the entry I put in
is gone. I cannot add anything to startup.

If I go to a command line and enter :~$ sudo gnome-session-properties I
can enter new startup entries under the Startup Programs tab and when I
close it and reopen it again, they are still there. This appears to be
functioning properly, even after reboot, it remains in my Startup
Programs tab. If I go back to System> Preferences> Sessions again, my
entry is lost, but if I go to a command line and use sudo, my settings
are still there. When I restart the computer, nothing that I entered in
sessions using sudo will start either.

I cannot start avant-window-navigator or screenlets through sessions
when my computer starts because the Sessions Manager for Gutsy appears
to be broken.

Thank you,
