Thanks for help :) Well, if I add the line SKIP_CHECKS=yes compiz into /etc/xdg/compiz/compiz-manager then I can start compiz and it seems to work, but 1. When trying to run compiz via "System-->Preferences-->Appearance, Visual Effects" is stills displays "Desktop Effects Can't be enabled" error message, just before compiz starts. 2. Compiz startup takes 30 seconds or even more. 3. Those settings are not saved in gnome session so I must set them again after reboot or relogin. 4. Custom gnome keyboard shortcuts doesn't work. (Like I used to map my "IBM ThinkVantage" button to run terminal).
I run clear Gutsy RC install with online updates. -- [gutsy release] Desktop Effects Can't be enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154261 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
