Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdepim
It is probably not right to report this here, but neither is it right, IMHO, to bug Jonathan Riddel via personal e-Mail, so I'll take my chances here. As mentioned [1] KDE 3.5.8 was released a few days ago and apparently most of it has already been packaged for Kubuntu (7.04 and 7.10), for example kdebase [2], kdemultimedia [3] and others. But kdepim [4] still remains in version 3.5.7 (4:3.5.7enterprise20070926-0ubuntu2 to be exact). I highly doubt it was simply forgotten, but on the off chance that it was I hereby issue a reminder :) Version 3.5.8 of kdepim fixes a number of quite critical [5] or inconvenient [6] bugs and I have been waiting for some time now to be able to fully use KMail again on my machine at work. I'd be interested in learning the reason why there is a hold-up with kdepim for Kubuntu (7.10 in my case)? Do I just need to be patient or are there any major showstoppers that are Kubuntu-specific? Again sorry for this version-bump request.
