I'm very naive, so please bear with me if this is a silly question. As far as I can tell the existing MTU setting in networkd will apply to both ipv4 and ipv6 simultaniously. Are you arguing that you want specific control of MTU and use different values for ipv4 and ipv6? Would it not be sufficient to set the appropriatly-lowest/highest common denominator value for MTU?
