Public bug reported:

Right now, Gutsy will only work up to a 1280x1024 resolution. However,
it will under no circumstances actually detect OR work if I select my
monitor make and model (Acer 1916W; DVI input), so I'm stuck using
Custom. If I manually add 1440x900 to Xorg.conf, the bottom fifth of the
screen is distorted and unusable. Even using "aticonfig
--resolution=0,1440x900,1280x1024" will return "screen0 does not exist."
And fglrxinfo returns "display: :0.0 screen: 0."

I remember having some problems in Fiesty with the resolution, but I
believe aticonfig fixed it. I have no idea what's going on here, but the
usual suspects aren't working.

This has to be a bug in at least how I am cannot correctly identify my
monitor using the Screen & Graphics option -- as even setting a 800x600
resolution will return an "input not supported" error message. Other
than that, I'm at a loss.
