This problem is resolved ( i think ). all i have to do is get onto my other internet to download my "Kubuntu" alternate cd instead of the "Ubuntu" alternate cd so that i can update my "Kubuntu"
very stupid mistake but it could be somthing ( relatively easy possibly ) to include as a warning somewhere in the update manager or in the script on the alternate install cd. "if you are using Kubuntu please use other cd" somthing simple like that -- Kubuntu upgrade [feisty->gutsy]: "failed to mark 'kubuntu-desktop' for install" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154010 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
