I think the problem might be that I've managed to install a version of libc6 that is too new (I have libc6 2.6.1-1+b1). I installed this for a program I was using, but would be ok reverting to either the feisty fawn or gutsy gibbon versions (both of which are older), but I can't get synaptic to let me do it since it thinks it will bust everything.
Any ideas? Looking at gutsy gibbon, it looks like it is a 2.6.1 level and so I expect everything would be ok if I used it (and the only thing that should bust would be the program I upgraded for - and that would be ok). -- update-manager fails to install gutsy 7.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154087 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
