I did this: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo rmmod -f snd-hda-intel [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo echo "options snd-hda-intel model=auto" >> /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel
After I did that, the sound card showed up, but I still had no sound.
