Extracting PPDs from Windows/Mac drivers does not work for non- PostScript printers, as the drivers also contain proprietary filters.
If Epson does not provide Linux drivers for this model, as they do for many other printers, you are out of luck. Another possibility to get your printer to work is to check whether it allows driverless printing. In this case a print queue would get automatically set up in Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty). This is usually only available on very recent models with network (Ethernet or WiFi) support. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1696876 Title: Epson Stylus Photo 1390 driver missing in CUPS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cups/+bug/1696876/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
