Extracting PPDs from Windows/Mac drivers does not work for non-
PostScript printers, as the drivers also contain proprietary filters.

If Epson does not provide Linux drivers for this model, as they do for
many other printers, you are out of luck.

Another possibility to get your printer to work is to check whether it
allows driverless printing. In this case a print queue would get
automatically set up in Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty). This is usually only
available on very recent models with network (Ethernet or WiFi) support.
