Thanks.

System has been working normally since reporting this bug, without
further prompts to report a system problem.

According to man apt-get, sudo apt-get install -f is the same as the
sudo apt --fix-broken install that I have already ran. I ran the sudo
apt-get clean and sudo apt-get update commands that you described,
followed by sudo apt-get upgrade. One new package version was detected
and installed, so my system seems to be OK now.

Should we close this bug or try to figure out what went wrong?
