Public bug reported: Since Canonical's Ubuntu phone project is ending and no one has stepped up to maintain Ubuntu's android-tools fork, we are syncing the Android stack from Debian.
This benefits users by allowing them to use the latest adb and fastboot instead of an old copy. There are a few obsolete binaries that need to be removed to make this happen, because Debian's android-tools is only built for a limited set of supported architectures (not ppc64el or s390x). Please delete these binaries: android-tools-fsutils for ppc64el and s390x ubuntu-device-do for ppc64el ubuntu-device-flash for ppc64el These are listed on update_excuses.html or update_output.txt ** Affects: android-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: goget-ubuntu-touch (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: goget-ubuntu-touch (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1699928 Title: Please delete obsolete android binaries To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/android-tools/+bug/1699928/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
